Happy Valentine's Day!
My beautiful roses from Kevin. Every year he sends the number of roses representing the number of years since he proposed to me. This year was nine. He planned to propose on Valentine's Day in February 2000. My grandfather passed away on February 12, 2000 and his funeral was on Valentine's Day. Kevin was going to wait until my birthday on February 23 but he didn't make it. He ended up proposing on February 16th (my brother's birthday). In a few more years I think he will need to switch from roses to something cheaper. Can you imagine getting say 30 roses for 30 years since you were proposed to??? That would be insane.
This week has been trying, challenging and testing. Poor Mason still doesn't feel normal. Every morning has been a struggle. After waking he doesn't want to eat, drink or take his medicines. Mostly he will cry, scream, lay in the floor and throw a fit. The first part of the week I blamed it on being sore and hurting from his surgery. By the end of the week I decided he was milking his surgery for all it was worth. Not really, but I do feel that later in the week he was testing his limits to see how far he could go. That's when I started working on his fit throwing and trying to let him know it isn't acceptable. I'm still working...
Monday I had my Lasik consult and was told I'm a good candidate for the procedure. I'm scheduled for this coming Monday morning. I'm excited and scared at the same time. Please pray that everything will go well. Also, please say a prayer for my brother, Scott. He is having gallbladder surgery Monday morning (on his birthday). I hope we don't have any more surgeries this month (or year). Between Mason, me and Scott that is plenty for February! I feel sorry for my mom, dad, aunt and uncle. I know they are so worried about everyone and wonder why us "young ones" have so many problems. Hopefully everyone will be well soon!
